100 Day Challenge: The Begining

It has been long since I was contemplating The 100 Day ChallangeI feel that this would be a great confidence building measure as much as a test of willpower and resilience.

To that effect, I did read up a lot of material on such test of willpower and methods to improve the lifestyle. After a lot of introspection about the present levels of willpower and thoughts about the existing lifestyle, I finally could create a challenge which would be able to push me adequately, keeping me a little on the edge if not out of my comfort zone. I also did not want a challenge which would intimidate me into giving up! Thus my 100 Day Challenge got created.

My 100 Days Challenge

  1. Burn 500 Calories every day.
  2. Ensure calorie deficit diet (last 50 days)
  3. Read for 30 minutes every day.
  4. Restrict to Tea and Coffee.
  5. No Sugar for the next 100 Days.
  6. Follow for 100 days
    1. The Morning Ritual
    2. The Daily Review
    3. The Bedtime Ritual
  7. Write the Journal daily.

Strategising

 Burn 500 Calories every day.

I would be using the following apps

  1. MyFitnessPal
  2. Home Workouts - No Equipments Workouts
  3. Pacer Pro to keep a track of the calories that I consume and the calories that I burn.

Read for 30 minutes every day.

  1. I would be using the Kindle and iBooks to achieve this goal. I have all the books that I need to read.
  2. I would be using the Readwise App to enhance the experience.
  3. The list would also be updated on the Goodreads

Restrict Tea and Coffee

  1. This would not be much of a challenge really if I remain a little mindful.
  2. The amount of tea and coffee that I consume (also the associated calorie intake) would be recorded using MyFitnessPal.

No Sugar for the next 100 Days

  1. This is again something that I need to be careful. A sweet tooth being a weakness is what has made me put this as one of the daily challenges.
  2. I would be using the Streaks App on my iPhone  for keeping a record.

Follow daily Rituals and Routines.

This would include is a well thought out list of actions during different times of the day which I will call rituals. These rituals i.e. The Morning Ritual, The Daily Review and The Bedtime Ritual are aimed to meet my daily functional requirements and will enable  me to remain efficient, productive and creative. Streaks would be used to track if I'm sincere and dedicated to my challenge to follow the routines.

Write the Journal daily.

I had been writing my journal using the Day One app for making my journal entries and have been a premium user for a number of years. Now I use the Apple Journal App. However, because I have not been regular, I have put it up as a challenge for myself. Even though the  entry in Apple Journal App would itself be a sort of a record, I would be tracking it as a habit using Streaks app.

The challenge commences on 01 January 2026. I intend to pull it through the first 100 Days which would be up to 10 April 2026. I would continue to post the progress, especially on the days when it is tougher.

Looking forward to tomorrow.
